On Wednesday, November 19, our company concluded an engineer development agreement with Hong yen University of Technology and Pedagogy in Vietnam, focusing on the fields of robotics and mechatronics.

In Japan’s manufacturing industry, the shortage of production engineers and robotics personnel is becoming increasingly severe, while educational investments remain concentrated in large corporations. To address this issue, our company has begun initiatives to strengthen engineering education internationally, based on the philosophy of not only promoting automation but also passing on the development of robotics engineers to the next generation.

In conjunction with this agreement, Hong yen University of Technology and Pedagogy gave our company high recognition, and, unusually for a regional small-to-medium enterprise, approved the establishment of the “YMG Robotics Lab” on the university campus. The university president also attended the signing ceremony.
Furthermore, both the president and the university expressed highly encouraging comments regarding this initiative and appointed our company representative, Yuichiro Yamamoto, as a “Robotics & Mechatronics Advisor.”

This agreement represents a new challenge in which a regional company takes a leading role in global talent development. With the expectations expressed by Hong yen University of Technology and Pedagogy in mind, we will contribute to nurturing the next generation of engineers and advancing the manufacturing industy.
